The Effect and Mechanism of Hyaluronidase Action in Experimental Brain Abscess
نویسندگان
چکیده
Brain abscess formation was studied experimentally in rats to determine the effed and the mechanism of hyaluronidase action in the treatment of brain abscess by applying different combinations ofhyaluronidase, Mycobacterium bo vis (BCG).ascorbic acid and antibiotic sensitive to the inoculated bacteria in various stages of classical abscess development, The results showed that combined therapy with antibiotic and hyaluronidase started the day before inoculation a bacteria averted the formation ofbrain abscess and the same therapy started after encapsulation. effectively eliminated the organism and resolved

Antidepressant-like Effect of a Chalcone Compound, DHIPC and Its Possible Mechanism
DHIPC (2,4-dichloro-2´-hydroxyl-4´,6´-diisoprenyloxychalcone) is a new chalconecompound. In this study, its antidepressant-like activity of compound DHIPC was evaluated bythe forced swimming test and the tail suspension test in mice. The results showed that DHIPCsignificantly reduced the immobility time for 2 h after treatment through the oral administrationat dose of 10, 20, and 30 mg/kg in th...
متن کاملبررسی و درمان آبسه مغزی Evaluation and treatment of Brain Abscess)
ABSTRACT: Brain abscess is a localized parenchymal infection of the brain , which may develop from three sources:(1)by direct extension of preexisting infection in the paranasal and mastoid sinus.(2) from cranial trauma,(3) by hematogenous spread. Brain abscess occurs more frequently in the young and in males. With more common utilization of anaerobic cultures,it has become apparent that a gr...
متن کاملCB1 cannabinoid receptors are involved in neuroleptic-induced enhancement of brain neurotensin
Objective(s): Targeting the neuropeptide systems has been shown to be useful for the development of more effective antipsychotic drugs. Neurotensin, an endogenous neuropeptide, appears to be involved in the mechanism of action of antipsychotics. However, the available data provide conflicting results and the mechanism(s) by which antipsychotics affect brain neurotensin neurotransmission have no...
متن کاملThe role of TSG-6 and uroplakin III in bladder pain syndrome/ interstitial cystitis in rats and humans
Objective(s):We investigated the relationship between the expression of tumor necrosis factor-inducible gene 6 (TSG-6) with inflammation and integrity of the bladder epithelium in the bladder tissues of patients with bladder pain syndrome/interstitial cystitis (BPS/IC) and the mechanism of action using a rat model of BPS/IC. Materials and Methods: Expression of TSG-6 and uroplakin III was det...
متن کاملThe effect of dextromethorphan on apomorphine-induced pecking behavior in chick
Dextromethorphan is an NMDA receptor antagonist in the glutamatergic system. Currently, there are some reports showing that the glutamatergic NMDA receptor mechanism stimulates dopamine release from several brain regions. This effect may in part modulate the stereotyped behaviors of dopaminergic system. The purpose of the present study was to determine the interaction between the blockade of NM...
